Amy Schumer has been an outspoken advocate of gun control in the past, appearing publicly with her cousin Senator Chuck Schumer to campaign for stricter legislation in the United States. Now, she's put her talk into more action by removing a gun scene from a forthcoming film.
Schumer is currently filming a yet-to-be-titled mother/daughter comedy with Goldie Hawn. It's directed by Jonathan Levine (50/50, The Night Before), and sees the pair get into some serious trouble while vacationing in Hawaii.
According to E! News, Schumer decided to cut at least one scene from the movie. The deleted scene shows a character shooting a gun at a group of people.
The Schumer/Hawn movie will open on May 12, 2017.
