Bill Cosby has been found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault. The decision came today at the hands of a jury outside Philadelphia.
This was the second trial regarding the incident involving accuser Andrea Constand and follows a deadlocked jury last year.
The 80-year-old comedian was accused of drugging and violating Constand in his Philadelphia home in 2004.
The retrial saw different evidence introduced to the courthouse. Five women who accuse Cosby of drugging and assaulting them were allowed to testify as witnesses to "prior bad acts," where previously only one woman was allowed.
The trial saw testimony from over 24 witnesses, though Cosby did not take the stand. However, he did make his presence known during the trial. According to the Associated Press, he stood up and barked like a dog at one point. He also reportedly launched into an "expletive-laden tirade" at the prosecutor after he was convicted.
Cosby was determined guilty of the assault after 14 hours of deliberation. His three counts include penetration with lack of consent, penetration while unconscious and penetration after administering an intoxicant. The jury was made up of seven men and five women.
As the New York Times reports, each of the counts is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, meaning he could wind up with a 30-year sentence. It's also possible that he could serve the sentences concurrently.
