Back in the summer, we learned that long-running Saturday Night Live cast members Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah had left the weekly sketch show. To help round out the cast for the upcoming 42nd season of the show, though, a handful of new faces have joined the cast as featured players.
Mikey Day, Alex Moffat and Melissa Villaseñor will all be vying for screen time come this season's October 1 premiere.
Day has been a writer on the show since 2013 and is a former member of legendary Los Angeles improve group, the Groundlings.
Moffat may look familiar to viewers that tuned into the (also Lorne Michaels-helmed) Maya & Marty variety show; he was a cast member and writer on the series' inaugural season this past year.
Villaseñor, meanwhile, might be recognizable from her stint doing stand-up as a top 16 contestant on the sixth season of America's Got Talent.
To get an idea of what to expect this fall, watch a clip of Villaseñor performing on the NBC reality competition below.
