Today is release day for "Weird Al" Yankovic, and as he rolls out a string of music videos for a number of cuts from Mandatory Fun, the album's goofy polka melody has hit the web.
"NOW That's What I Call Polka!" is a mashup of a string of mega-famous hits, including "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus, "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People, "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen, "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye, "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk and more. These are performed in slapstick style on accordion with lots of sound effects and over-the-top silliness.
Yankovic also released his "Word Crime" video today, and you can also read Exclaim!'s new interview with the man himself over here, where Al talks all discuses Arcade Fire, Robin Thicke, Prince and, of course, Mandatory Fun.
