Last night, the city of Saskatoon voted in Charlie Clark as their new mayor-elect. The veteran city councillor dethroned Don Atchison, who was seeking a fifth term in charge. But Clark's campaign clinched things thanks to a high-profile endorsement.
No stranger to the political sphere with his web series Between Two Ferns and movies like The Campaign, comedian Zach Galifianakis sent in a video endorsement for Clark.
The video, which can be streamed below, was filmed on the side of the road in California. Galifianakis calls Clark a "splendid man" before joking that he bribed the comedian with money for the endorsement.
In reality, Galifianakis is married to Clark's cousin.
