When it comes to horror films, Arrow Video is a shining light in a world clouded by mediocre Netflix content. And now the British distributor is branching out with its very own subscription-based streaming platform — just in time for Halloween.
Starting on October 1, the ARROW platform will launch in Canada and the U.S., giving horror fans something extra special to look forward to during the spookiest of spooky months.
The platform will build on the success of the Arrow Video Channel and the company's vast array of beloved DVD and Blu-ray releases. With the streaming service available on multiple devices, as well as through your web browser, you'll be able to now easily stream tons of Arrow Video's cult flicks, B-movie gems and horror classics.
For October, the ARROW streaming service will be packed with content, with the lineup being led by The Deeper You Dig, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Crumbs, The Hatred, Cold Light of Day, Videoman and The Herschell Gordon Lewis Feast. Plus, there's the complete Gamera series.
It hardly stops there, though, as you'll also be able to watch such hard-to-stream films as Hellraiser, Re-Animator, Ringu, Deep Red, Death Walks on High Heels, Schlock, Torso, Blood Rage, What Have You Done to Solange?, Audition and many more. Many of these selections were curated by beloved Shaun of the Dead filmmaker Edgar Wright.
Upon launch on October 1, Arrow Video is offering fans a free 30-day trial of ARROW. Then subscriptions will be $4.99 monthly or $49.99 annually. ARROW will work on iOS (iPhones and iPads), tvOS (Apple TVs), Android, Fire TV, Roku and on all web browsers via its Arrow Player site. The platform plans to launch in the U.K. at a later date.
