Brad Pitt is no longer the face of Super Happy Fun America's ridiculous "Straight Pride" campaign, after the actor's reps demanded his name and likeness be removed from its website.
Earlier this week, a couple of morons in Boston (with a history of racist and anti-Semitic rhetoric) decided to seek permits for a "straight pride parade," and unveiled Brad Pitt as their official mascot.
Clearly, they didn't run the idea past Pitt, whose representatives have since requested his image and name be removed from the website of the "oppressed majority." Super Happy Fun America has since complied.
The site previously stated: "Congratulations to Mr. Pitt for being the face of this important civil rights movement."
It also featured photos of Pitt and Angelina Jolie from the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith, as well as a photo of Pitt with his former wife Jennifer Aniston.
Super Happy Fun America's copy now reads: "The Straight Community has adopted [Redacted] as our mascot! Congratulations to [Redacted] for being the face of this important civil rights movement."
It has also since named Milo Yiannopoulos its official mascot and grand marshal, deeming him "younger, more handsome, and more in tune with heroic masculine virtues."
Pitt, meanwhile, has been an outspoken ally for the LGBTQ+ community. In 2006, he declared that he and his then-girlfriend Jolie would not get married until people of all orientations were afforded the same right in the United States. He also made substantial donations to overturn California's Proposition 8, which temporarily made same-sex marriage illegal in the state.
