As Ontario moves into Stage 3 of its COVID reopening plan, movie theatres will soon be allowed to resume operations — with spectator capacity, physical distancing and other restrictions — starting on July 16.

As such, Cineplex has officially announced its reopening plan, which will allow for 1,000 guests per building indoors and 75 percent capacity outdoors and on patios.

"Our team has been waiting for this day and are thrilled that next week we will finally be able to reopen our doors in Ontario," Cineplex CEO Ellis Jacob said in a release. "We can now enjoy movies the way that they're meant to be seen, with Cineplex providing the escape of the big screen and big sound that we have all been missing for so long."

The theatre conglomerate is teasing its return with a bunch of new titles, including Black Widow, F9, Space Jam: A New Legacy, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, A Quiet Place Part II, Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, The Forever Purge and The Boss Baby: Family Business.

Additionally, the Rec Room and Playdium will also reopen as part of the plan.
