Before the highly anticipated second season of everyone's favourite Disney+ show, The Mandalorian, has even aired, reports are coming in that the show's creators are already working on its third instalment.
According to Variety, both showrunner Jon Favreau and executive creative director Doug Chiang have been working on Season 3 material for some time, including writing and concept creation.
Furthermore, a source close to the show's production revealed to Variety that the crew have "just started pre-production" and are "looking into further adventures for The Mandalorian in Season 3."
With Season 1 only capping off back in late December 2019, the second season scheduled to air in October this year and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic halting productions around the world, it's likely fans won't get a taste of Season 3 until possibly 2021 or later. Though, no firm date of its release has been confirmed or denied.
So far, no other details on the third season have surfaced. Until then, fans will have the eight-part docuseries, Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, airing in May, to tide them over.
