The arrival of Solo: A Star Wars Story is less than two weeks away, meaning buzz is plentiful Alden Ehrenreich's turn as Han. Outside of that casting, however, the film is also notable for its casting of Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian. And this most likely won't be the last time we see him in the role.
Speaking with Premiere France, Lucasfilm head honcho Kathleen Kennedy was translated as saying, "We think that the next spinoff will be dedicated to Lando Calrissian. Of course, there are still many stories to tell about Han and Chewbacca, but Lando will be next."
It's all very preliminary, meaning the spinoff may never happen — Lucasfilm released a press release to confirm that Kennedy was being very hypothetical in her statement. Even if the film did happen, it could be a Muppet Babies-style story that follows Lando in diaps. But considering the hype surrounding Glover, spinning off his character seems like a good idea.
Ehrenreich, for his part, previously said that he had signed on for three Star Wars movies in total.
