Film festivals have had to go online in 2020 due to the pandemic, but Montreal's Fantasia International Film Festival has pulled together a very cool event for this year's digital edition. Two generations of beloved Canadian actors will be coming together, as actor/music Finn Wolfhard and actor/director Jay Baruchel will be appearing in conversation with one another.
This event will take place this Saturday (August 29) at 2 p.m. A press release notes that this "live virtual artist talk" will be free to check out at Fantasia's YouTube channel.
Wolfhard, who is best known for his role on Stranger Things, is making his debut as writer/director with the comedy short Night Shifts, which will premiere at Fantasia. Baruchel recently directed the horror-comedy Random Acts of Violence.
