Last week, closeted Gilmore Girls fans had a quiet conniption with the news that the show was coming back. Now, more news about the Netflix revival has surfaced.
As TV Line reports, the show will be resurrected as a series of four episodes. While that may not seem like enough, they're each going to be 90 minutes long. In other words, it's more like four Gilmore Girls movies.
According to insiders, each of the four episodes will represent one season, and the whole series will cover a full year of life in Stars Hollow. Further, the show will take place in the present day, meaning there will be no explanation necessary as to why everyone looks eight years older.
Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson are all in negotiations for the series. Amy-Sherman Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino will write and produce the full revival.
Stay tuned for more information on the new Gilmore Girls episodes as it becomes available.
