Following a rapid-fire series of rumours, David Gordon Green will indeed be helming not one but two new Halloween films.

Today Blumhouse and Universal officially confirmed Green will be back for two films in John Carpenter's long-running horror franchise, the first of which will arrive in October 2020 and the second in 2021.

Following Green's 2018 Halloween film, we'll next get Halloween Kills in theatres on October 16, 2020. Then Halloween Ends will arrive the following year on October 15, 2021.

Jamie Lee Curtis will also be returning to play Laurie Strode and, of course, Michael Myers will be back as well. Carpenter will presumably be back to helm the soundtracks for both films.

Watch a teaser for both films below.
