Director Ramin Bahrani offered a nuanced look at America's housing crisis with the excellent, underrated 99 Homes, and now it looks like he'll apply his skills to another sociopolitical story with an adaptation of Ray Bradbury's classic book Fahrenheit 451.
As The Wrap reports, Bahrani has been tapped to take on the classic text for HBO Films. In addition to directing, Bahrani will also executive produce alongside Alan Gasmer and Peter Jaysen.
Fahrenheit 451 tells the story of Guy Montag, a fireman in the dystopian future who has been tasked with burning books. The novel was previously adapted by Francois Truffaut in 1966.
