Today is the Fourth of July, and here with an Independence Day message is the new president of the United States: Claire Underwood of House of Cards.
The wildly popular — and troubled — Netflix series tweeted out its official July 4 message today, showing actress Robin Wright as POTUS, wishing "Happy Independence Day…to me." This is then followed by the hashtag #MyTurn.
Check it out below.
House of Cards Season 6 follows a long string of sexual assault and harassment allegations against former series lead Kevin Spacey, who is now no longer with the show. As previously reported, this will be the final season of the series, with Wright's character now taking on the lead.
"We were really excited we could get to an agreement… for the conclusion of the show," Netflix boss Ted Sarandos previously said of the upcoming series.
House of Cards Season 6 currently does not have a firm release date, but it is expected to arrive on Netflix later this year.
