Despite its extremely messy production and rollout, Jackass 4 is indeed on its way later this year. Today, the movie is one step closer to becoming a reality as filmmakers have shared a collection of first-look images from the forthcoming stunt comedy now titled Jackass Forever.
As can be expected, the returning cast of Johnny Knoxville, Jason "Wee Man" Acuña, Steve-O, Dave England, Chris Pontius, Danger Ehren and Preston Lacy are seen in some pretty compromising positions in the preview images. From a cannonball stunt to what appears to be a couple of Fear Factor-esque exotic animal challenges, the flick looks like it won't disappoint on the pain, injury and humiliation fronts.
Here's the official synopsis:
Celebrating the joy of being back together with your best friends and a perfectly executed shot to the dingdong, the original Jackass crew return for another round of hilarious, wildly absurd, and often dangerous displays of comedy with a little help from some exciting new cast.
Interestingly, ousted former Jackass crew member Bam Margera does not appear in any of the promo images. Margera was previously fired from the upcoming film and got a restraining order filed against him by director Jeff Tremaine.
In addition to the returning cast, Jasper Dolphin, Rachel Wolfson, Sean "Poopies" McInerney, Zach Holmes and Eric Manaka will be joining the shenanigans for the franchise's fourth instalment.
As previously reported, Knoxville has confirmed that the forthcoming movie will be the final instalment of the Jackass series.
Jackass Forever will arrive in theatres on October 22. The film's official trailer will arrive on July 20.
