We already knew Keanu Reeves was coming back for John Wick: Chapter 4, but now it's been officially revealed that we're getting John Wick 5 as well. Better yet, the fourth and fifth film in Chad Stahelski's beloved action series will be likely shot back-to-back next year.
Lionsgate CEO John Feltheimer revealed the ambitious plan today, Deadline reports.
"We're also busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theatres Memorial Day weekend 2022," he said during Lionsgate earnings call. "We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 & 5 back to back when Keanu becomes available early next year."
Following itself postponement due to COVID-19, John Wick 4 is currently scheduled to arrive on May 27, 2022, after it was postponed from its original release date of May 21, 2021. As for John Wick 5, though, it's unclear when that film could arrive.
Remember, we're also getting the John Wick TV series The Continental, which is looking to premiere sometime following the fourth movie.
In related news, Reeves is about to star in Bill & Ted Face the Music, which is now out on August 28.
