Comedian and TV personality Kathy Griffin has never been afraid to offend, though her latest stunt has crossed the line for many people. Working with photographer Tyler Shields, Griffin's latest photoshoot sees her holding up the bloodied head of President Donald Trump.
Obtained by TMZ, the incredibly gory image has the internet in a tizzy. Trump supporters across Twitter are declaring that the image is a threat on the president's life, while alt-right pundits like Mike Cernovich have claimed that it's part of a satanic ritual called "spirit cooking."
Whether or not you agree with those assessments, there's no denying that it's an incredibly risque image. Griffin's employers are probably having one hell of a day dealing with all of the angry phone calls from Trump supporters.
In a video, available below, Griffin joked that her and Shields would have to move to Mexico due to the public outcry from the image.
UPDATE (5:15 p.m. EDT): Taking to Twitter, Griffin defended the photoshoot, saying, "OBVIOUSLY, I do not condone ANY violence by my fans or others to anyone, ever! I'm merely mocking the Mocker in Chief."
