Keanu Reeves Offers Update on 'Bill & Ted' 3

Much to the chagrin of at least one of our writers, a third Bill & Ted movie is still in the works. The long-rumoured film has been slow to get started, but star Keanu Reeves recently revealed that a script is still being written.

In an interview with IGN, Reeves offered a fluttery explanation for the movie's delay, saying, "we're closer and we're not closer. We're expecting another draft and hopefully we'll get closer."

"We're just trying to get the script together," he continued. "We're trying to get the story right. We're working with this studio so we have a little bit of support, in a sense of like if the material comes through we'll try and make this picture. We're really just still trying to get the story right."

Keanu Reeves and his co-star Alex Winter have been plenty busy with other projects since their Bill & Ted heyday. Reeves had major success with John Wick (which is currently shooting its sequel), and Winter is now a renowned documentarian who's working on a definitive Frank Zappa film.

That said, despite Wick's success, things are not all golden for Keanu Reeves. As the National Post reports, his latest film Exposed just had a tragically bad opening in the UK over the weekend, bringing in a meagre $166 CAD.
