Just last week, we learned that Sir Patrick Stewart has a fondness for marijuana. Since gaining that knowledge, we've been secretly hoping that he would kick back with fellow bald thespian Woody Harrelson for a serious blaze sesh. Unfortunately, our 4:20 dreams have been crushed with the news the Woody's off the weed.
In a new interview with Vulture, Harrelson said he's tired of the misconception that he's a wild and crazy guy. "I am a party animal," he admitted before adding that he's off the sticky-icky. "But on the other hand, I haven't… I'm now extremely moderate and… I actually stopped smoking pot almost a year ago."
Harrelson said he decided to stop after "30 solid years of just partying too fucking hard," adding "I feel like it was keeping me from being emotionally available."
Further, he still gets tempted to take a puff every once in a while. "Well, like, last night, someone had — not just good herb but sativa; really good sativa," he said. "There's a joint, and beautifully rolled. I like a beautifully rolled… and I just was like, I mean, I've gone this long. It would be weird to just be like, 'Okay, let me have a hit off that,' and then suddenly go back to smoking too much, which is… I don't have a problem at all with smoking. I think it's great."
Woody Harrelson next stars in an adaptation of Daniel Clowes' Wilson, which hits theatres on March 24.
