Gilmore Girls and Parenthood star Lauren Graham is slated to appear in the upcoming Disney+ reboot of The Mighty Ducks.

As Variety reports, the actress has been tapped to play a mother named Alex, whose son Evan (played by Brady Noon) is cut from the Mighty Ducks' hockey team. The mother and son duo then set out to build their own team of misfit hockey players.

In addition to her acting role, Graham will also co-executive produce the series.

As previously reported, Emilio Estevez is also expected to reprise his role from the original Mighty Ducks movie trilogy as Coach Gordon Bombay.

Other casting decisions have yet to be revealed, though a number of the original castmates did reunite IRL and on the ice last year, including Kenan Thompson, Danny Tamberelli, Colombe Jacobsen, Vincent LaRusso and Garette Ratliff Henson.

Production on the new series is scheduled to begin in Vancouver this month.
