Like it or loathe it, Luc Besson's Lucy was one of his highest profile films in years. Up next, the Fifth Element helmer hopes to keep that energy going by working with two of the world's brightest up and comers.
The writer and director signed up for Twitter to announce that his next film will be called Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. The film will star Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne.
The film is based on Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mesieres' 1967 graphic novel. It follows the story of time travellers Valerian (DeHaan) and Laureline (Delevingne).
Besson also revealed the film's first imagery, available above. Is it just us, or does it sort of look like David Letterman's Worldwide Pants logo?
Valerian is set to shoot this December, with the film hitting theatres in 2017. Read Besson's tweets announcing the project below.
