Call Me By Your Name didn't exactly clean up at the Oscars last night (March 4), but the film was so critically acclaimed that it makes sense that director Luca Guadagnino would want to return to its characters. That's exactly what he'll do, as he's just confirmed plans for a sequel.

Speaking with USA Today, Guadagnino confirmed that a sequel is in the works. "I'm already conceiving the story with [author] André Aciman," he said.

While Guadagnino didn't give it a title just yet (Call Me By Your Name, Too seems like the best option), he did offer some details about its setting.

"It's gonna happen five or six years afterwards, so almost in the 1990s," he said. "It's gonna be a new movie, a different tone. You're gonna see a lot of the East Coast of America… They're gonna go around the world."

Call Me By Your Name, Too (that really does have a great ring to it) will see Armie Hammer and Timothée Chalamet reprise their respective roles as Oliver and Elio.
