Today's reveal follows reports from October 2020 that Isaac would star as Moon Knight in a forthcoming series for Disney+.
His work for Disney includes co-starring in the Star Wars sequel trilogy as Resistance pilot Poe Dameron, while his aforementioned appearance in Apocalypse came before Marvel reacquired the film rights to the X-Men franchise.
Moon Knight first appeared in a in a 1975 issue of the Werewolf by Night comic series, and the character was given his own ongoing series 1980. The story follows Marc Spector, a former U.S. Marine, heavyweight boxer and mercenary who begins fighting crime after becoming the human avatar of Egpytian moon god Khonshu.
