Michael Moore's latest documentary Where to Invade Next didn't have the greatest box office return when it opened earlier this year, but that hasn't stopped the filmmaker from soldiering on. Instead, he's back with a new work about Donald Trump.
The film is called Michael Moore in TrumpLand, and is a new iteration of Moore's one-man play of the same name. Moore had hoped to perform the play in Ohio, but it was shut down by local Republicans so he opted to film it instead.
The film's official synopsis reads:
See the film Ohio Republicans tried to shut down. Oscar-winner Michael Moore dives right into hostile territory with his daring and hilarious one-man show, deep in the heart of TrumpLand in the weeks before the 2016 election.
Michael Moore in TrumpLand will open at New York's IFC Film Center today (October 18) with a wider release to follow.
Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter for the tip.
