​'Schitt's Creek' Earns Record-Breaking 26 Canadian Screen Awards Nominations

The Canadian Screen Awards nominations were announced this morning, and Schitt's Creek garnered a record-breaking 26 nods.
 
Amongst the awards the show is up for are Best Comedy Series, Best Direction (Comedy), Best Writing (Comedy) and Best Achievement in Casting.
 
In the acting categories, Schitt's Creek is battling itself, with Dan Levy and Eugene Levy each earning Best Lead Actor (Comedy) nominations, and Annie Murphy and Catherine O'Hara both getting Best Lead Actress (Comedy) nominations.
 
Chris Elliott, Dustin Milligan and Noah Reid are all nominated for Best Supporting Actor (Comedy), while Emily Hampshire, Jennifer Robertson and Sarah Levy are all nominated for Best Supporting Actress (Comedy).
 
Following Schitt's Creek impressive haul of nominations is Anne with an E, which has earned 17 nominations. The series was cancelled last year, after its third season.

Schitt's Creek is currently in its sixth and final season.
