The San Diego Comic Convention is currently underway, meaning some of media's biggest companies are debuting new material from forthcoming projects. There's a lot of shitty, bootleg-quality camera work leaking new trailers, but Warner Bros. Pictures opted to counter the pirates by releasing the full quality version of their upcoming Suicide Squad film.
David Ayer's Toronto-shot DC Comics property sees an ensemble cast taking on the roles of Gotham's biggest baddies. The three-minute trailer is a slow-burner, soundtracked with a slow, choral verso of the Bee Gees' "I Started a Joke." It concludes with some dialogue from Jared Leto's new Joker.
Watch the clip for Suicide Squad below, then get ready to wait. It doesn't open until August 5, 2016.
