Few actors have fallen from grace quite like Robert De Niro, who went from status as an Oscar-winning drama legend to a guy who spent last year having an EDM-themed circle jerk with Zac Efron. Thanks to the work of online comic artist James Chapman we can now, er, analyze this fall from grace with a new infographic.
Using the scientifically proven axis of time versus tomatoes, the graph compares De Niro's filmography with his Rotten Tomatoes scores over the years.
Based on the data, it looks like De Niro threw in the towel and stopped giving a shit in 2002, when he turned 59. From there, he starred in a swath of garbage movies, with Dirty Grandpa amongst the most critically reviled.
Continuing to crunch the numbers, Chapman pointed out that Al Pacino hasn't had as many bad years as De Niro, though Pacino's dark times are much worse than his counterpart's. That's probably because they include this.
Finally, Chapman pointed out that Leonardo DiCaprio and Matthew McConaughey are on steady critical climbs, while the careers of John Cusack and Nicolas Cage are falling apart.
