Universal Parks Adding Nintendo-Themed Areas

It's an exciting time for amusement parks as they continue to expand and add new worlds. Disney is currently caught up in developing its Star Wars-themed attractions (and, in our dreams, its Studio Ghibli lands). Not to be left behind, Universal Parks and Resorts have got some big plans of their own.

Specifically, the theme park has teamed up with Nintendo to prepare some videogame-themed attractions at all three Universal theme parks. This includes Universal Studios Japan, Universal Studios Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood.

A joint statement from Universal and Nintendo said, "Mario and all his friends are there to pull you into a brand-new world.... There will be something for everyone – regardless of their age or gaming experience level."

You can also watch a promotional clip for the new endeavour below. Mario even makes an appearance in the video.
