The Muppets are in a fairly weird place these days, with plenty of behind-the-scenes drama and botched television shows as Disney tries to figure out what to do with them. While we wait for them to hopefully figure it out, we can enjoy their earliest iteration with a new documentary.
Directed by Frank Oz, Muppet Guys Talking is a sit-down conversation between Oz (Grover, Bert, Cookie Monster, Miss Piggy), Jerry Nelson (Count Von Count, Mr. Snuffleupagus), Fran Brill (Betty Lou, Prairie Dawn, Little Bird), Dave Goelz (The Great Gonzo, Bunsen Honeydew) and Bill Barretta (Johnny Fiama, Pepe the King Prawn, Bobo the Bear).
Based on the trailer, there's not much more to the doc than a simple conversation, but it should be a must-see for anyone who wants behind-the-scenes stories about Jim Henson and plenty of scenes where the cast break into their characters.
Watch the trailer for the film below. It will be released at MuppetGuysTalking.com on March 16.
