At the tail end of last year, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor promised that listeners could expect new material from the group in 2016. Being a man of his word, it appears that something new from Reznor and company could arrive as early as next month.
A screenshot posted to Reddit by a user who reportedly has industry ties shows the band will release a new single titled "Dive and Slam" on September 16 through Columbia Records. Another user posted that the listing is part of a single release schedule hosted by Kobalt Music Group.
UPDATE (08/03, 5:36 p.m. EDT): Trent Reznor offered up a few simple thoughts on the matter on Twitter this afternoon.
No indication was given as to whether the track will be part of a full-length Nine Inch Nails album or another project. The band returned to action in 2013 with Hesitation Marks.
