AC/DC

While the last decade has seen Australia's AC//DC seemingly fade out of existence, there is no denying the immense influence the band has had on hard rock. The band released only two album in the '90s, and they seemed to be Beavis and Butthead-like parodies of past glories. All the more reason why Stiff Upper Lip is such a kick in the pants. The band's first record in ages to be produced by George Young, it harkens back to the glory days of the band. Stiff Upper Lip is AC/DC at their most mature to date. This may only be a sign of their age - no surprise, since they are all well into middle age - but instead of filling the airwaves with songs of teenage lust and reckless abandon, the subject matter has become more refined but the intensity has not changed.
