In addition to a slew of Grammys, insanely successful British belter Adele now has yet another award to add to her mantelpiece: a Golden Globe Award.
The vocalist took home the prize for Best Original Song for her track "Skyfall" from the recent James Bond film of the same name. The song was co-written with producer Paul Epworth. Watch Adele's acceptance speech below.
Adele beat out nominees Keith Urban ("For You" from Act of Valor), Jon Bon Jovi ("Not Running Anymore" from Stand Up Guys), Taylor Swift with the Civil Wars ("Safe & Sound" from The Hunger Games), and "Suddenly" from the musical Les Misérables.
A few months ago, when Adele confirmed that she would be singing the Bond theme, she said, "I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for Skyfall. There's a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song. But I fell in love with the script and Paul had some great ideas for the track, and it ended up being a bit of a no brainer to do it in the end. It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I've never done, which made it exciting. When we recorded the strings it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I'll be back combing my hair when I'm 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day I'm sure!"
Adele is also up for an Oscar for "Skyfall." The 85th Annual Academy Awards will take place on February 24.
