For her new single "Hello," Adele tapped Mommy director Xavier Dolan to direct a video. There could've been a much more maternal connection on her forthcoming 25 album had she stuck with her original plan. According to the singer, there was an entire motherhood-themed album that was ultimately scrapped.

Speaking with BBC Radio 1, Adele revealed that she ditched an entire full-length before landing on 25's 11 tracks. "I did write an album about being a mom," she said. "But that's pretty boring. I scrapped that."

She also explained that parenthood made it difficult to get back into songwriting, admitting that she was "out of the habit." Fortunately, she managed to complete the task, and 25 will arrive on November 20.

As explained in her album-themed open letter25 is a "make-up album" that sees the singer accepting her life and herself rather than wishing things were different.
