Before Aesop Rock follows up his 2012 set Skelethon, the veteran Bay Area rapper will cook up a couple of vinyl reissues for his Labor Days and Bazooka Tooth LPs.
As Modern Vinyl points out, Block Block Chop will be delivering both reissues on September 24. Labor Days was originally pressed in 2001 via Def Jux, and Exclaim! had noted that the double-LP set showed Aesop's "multi-syllabic mastery of the monotone." You can pre-order the reissue here.
Exclaim! later gave the 2003 follow-up Bazooka Tooth our stamp of approval, applauding the mostly self-produced set for how Aesop "drops abstract poetry, heartfelt stories and new millennial b-boyisms in his gruff monotone flow." The tracklisting appears the same as the original pressing, and comes spread across three LPs. You can pre-order this re-release here.
