Against Me! Share 'True Trans' EP

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 15, 2013

Against Me! still haven't revealed just when they'll issue their long-planned Transgender Dysphoria Blues, but the Florida-bred band have revealed a two-song sneak preview of what's to come titled True Trans.

The EP features a pair of stripped-down versions of tracks that will appear in full-band form on Transgender Dysphoria Blues. For now, you can stream or download "FuckMyLife666" and "True Trans Soul Rebel" as driven by unplugged six-string strums and Laura Jane Grace's powerful, confessional lyrics. These versions will also be issued on a 7-inch in August.

As previously reported, remaining Against Me! members Grace and James Bowman recently brought aboard NOFX's Fat Mike and punk drummer Adam "Atom" Willard (Rocket From the Crypt, Danko Jones) to help finish the album sessions.

Additionally, Grace recently announced a small run of solo acoustic dates across the U.S. that will likely have her testing out the new songs on the road. While there aren't any Canadian dates to report, you can see the schedule down below.

Tour dates:

8/10 Philadelphia, PA - MilkBoy

8/11 Boston, MA - Brighton Music Hall

8/13 Providence, RI - Fete Lounge

8/14 Washington, DC - Rock and Roll Hotel
