Aidan Knight Announces New Single, Western Canadian Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 24, 2010

It's been a good year from Victoria, BC-based singer-songwriter Aidan Knight, who got our attention back in March with the Exclaim!-approved debut album Versicolour. Now, he's preparing to wrap up his successful 2010 campaign with a new seven-inch, plus a Western Canadian tour.

Friendly Fires is being billed as an EP, although it's more accurately described as a single, since it's only two songs long. The title track is on the A-side and "Lambics" is on the B-side. The songs were recorded during a four-day studio session, with backing provided by members of Toronto's the O'Darling. According to a press release, "The trumpets are still heralding, the noise is still cascading."

You can download the folksy "Friendly Fires" for free here. The single will be released via Adventure Boys Club on November 30.

To support the release, Knight will be heading out on a brief tour with a handful of dates in BC and Alberta. See the schedule below.
