Alison Krauss's most successful crossover work was her collaboration with Robert Plant, but there's no denying that the songwriter has put together an impressive solo career. She's been dropping records since the mid-'80s, and next week (April 12), she will release album No. 14, Paper Airplane. Once that's out, the bluegrass songstress will embark upon a lengthy North American tour that includes a few dates in Western Canada.
The epic jaunt will last for almost four months, from early June through September. Most of the dates are in the U.S., but there will be three Canadian dates in early July: Calgary, Edmonton and Courtney, BC. Interestingly, she won't be coming to major cities like Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal.
Krauss will be touring with her band, Union Station. Dobro player Jerry Douglas will also be along for the trip. Scroll past the tour dates to listen to the title track of Paper Airplane.
