alt-J Release 'iTunes Session'

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 16, 2013

alt-J — otherwise known simply as ∆ — netted the 2012 Mercury Prize with their album An Awesome Wave, and now the pop-rocking Brits are continuing to spread the word of the lauded disc by releasing their own iTunes Session, which arrives today (April 16).

The eight-song session is largely made up of material from An Awesome Wave, but it also includes a cover of Drive track "A Real Hero" (originally by College ft. Electric Youth) and "Buffalo" from the Silver Linings Playbook soundtrack.

Order the session over at iTunes.

Fans interested in hearing these songs in person can catch the band on the road in the coming months. They have an ultra-busy schedule that will take them around the world and includes a few dates here in Canada in Montreal (for Osheaga), Vancouver and Toronto.
