With AlunaGeorge's long-awaited, slightly delayed debut LP Body Music finally set to drop at the end of the month, the buzz-worthy R&B outfit are building some last-minute hype by streaming album cut "Bad Idea."
Following a quick intro of choppy vocal samples, singer Aluna Francis sets into a breathy break-up missive that has her cutting her dude loose for "dragging like wet wood." "You're a car crash waiting to happen / I'm putting on the brakes just to save myself," she admits later in the track. The single is fit with a steady clap beat and chip-tune synth blips, which should soften the blow of her impactful critique.
You can sample the funky farewell down below.
As previously reported, Body Music drops July 29 via Island, while the duo head to North America for a tour at the end of August. A Canadian date has been set up at Toronto's Hoxton on September 9. You can find the rest of the details over here.
UPDATE: The album will arrive in North America on July 30 on Vagrant.
