Since their formation in 2003, this Phoenix, AZ pop punk outfit self-released their first EP, shared the stage with Fall Out Boy and their Hopeless Records debut, The Natural Way, debuted at number six on the Billboard Top Singles Album chart. Those are pretty good milestones for any band, let alone one that hasn't even graduated from high school. The Natural Way is a digital-only EP that makes for a pretty deadly combination of catchy, sing-along choruses and surprisingly tasteful, competent musicianship. "Love Instead" sets the tone for the album, with vocalist Slade Echeverria melting so many preteen hearts with the emotional line, "Don't trouble your pretty little head/There's only room for love instead." They won't blow your mind if you're a dude (or, say, over 18 years old) but fathers of young girls take note: in three to five years, Anarbor just might be the boys on her bedroom wall.
