...And the Saga Continues

Ferocious

These three hard lovin’ Montreal punk/metal dudes sure pull out all the stops when they get goin’. This latest release, fitting titled Ferocious, finds the lads jam-packing 20 punk/metal blasts onto a single seven-inch. Of course, the tracks are nearly indistinguishable from each other, walking the line between Brooklyn hardcore knocks and oi punk fury with muscles flexing. The group’s attitude is pure "fuck you” mayhem, going so far as to feature cover art where the three members are pictured holding weapons of malice while a sea of blood and body parts surrounds them. The recording quality is pretty good at best with most takes sounding live off the floor. Ferocious could seriously do a lot of good with a little more "oomph” in the production, as the drums sound a bit thin and guitars often get tinny and thin where they should be thick and crunching. Perhaps the most commendable thing about …And the Saga Continues is the band’s incredibly D.I.Y. standpoint, and their fearless nature to do and say whatever the hell they want, no matter how crude.
