As previously reported, indie heroes Magnetic Fields have returned to their former home of Merge Records and are preparing to release a new album called Love at the Bottom of the Sea.
Frontman Stephen Merritt promised a return to the band's trademark synthy acoustic pop style, and with the new track "Andrew in Drag," it seems he really meant it. The new tune clocks in at just over two minutes, and apparently none of the forthcoming album cuts will go past the three-minute mark.
