Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese's new HBO show Vinyl is much more than just an excuse for Ray Romano to make rock'n'roll jokes while wearing bell-bottoms. It's also got an impressive soundtrack.
We've already heard Julian Casablancas' cover of the Velvet Underground's "Run Run Run," and now a whole swath of other covers have hit the web. These include Andrew W.K.'s take on Alice Cooper's "I Love the Dead."
The track is a fairly faithful representation of Cooper's sound, with W.K. keeping things nice and subdued atop a slow-burning rock groove.
Listen to Andrew W.K.'s Vinyl contribution below alongside songs from Nate Ruess, Milk Carton Kids and the show's own Nasty Bits.
