Ontario singer-songwriter Anna Wiebe offered up her last solo EP in 2013 with Full of the Light, though she's since shared a single titled "Light in the Attic" and collaborated with Jon Lawless and the Electric Environment. She's ready to drop a brand new solo set of songs, though, and Exclaim! is giving you the first listen.
On Time brings together three tracks, each of which Wiebe wrote and recorded in a single day. Though the individual songs were recorded over the span of a couple months, each one touches on the idea of "contemplating love that is had and understood, while simultaneously knowing a love that is lost and uncertain."
That theme is brought to life with soft strums of acoustic guitar and Wiebe's soothing, heartfelt vocals.
The singer-songwriter is currently working on her debut album New Behaviour, which is expected out this fall. Before the full-length offering arrives, give the three-song set On Time a spin below.
