Well-loved Texas post-hardcore outfit At the Drive-In broke up way back in 2001, but they reunited for some shows back in 2012. Now, the group are preparing to reunite once again.
The band will perform at Columbus, OH's Rock on the Range festival, which runs from May 15 to 17 of next year. At this point, it's unclear if this is At the Drive-In's only reunion show planned or if more will be announced.
It hasn't been confirmed if the full classic lineup will be involved; the El Paso Times reports that, a few weeks ago, guitarist Jim Ward seemed to be completely in the dark about the possibility of a reunion. When the publication followed up with him after the band's performance was announced, he apparently "seemed rather surprised" and was unable to confirm or deny whether the reunion would be taking place. It seems entirely possible he's just being coy, however.
Other acts at Rock on the Range include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Disturbed, Megadeth, Bring Me the Horizon, Lamb of God, Ghosts, Rob Zombie and more. Get details here.
Since At the Drive-In's last show, members Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala formed a new project called Antemasque.
