Atlas Sound Signs To 4AD in Europe, Releases Album With Extra Disc

Celebrated UK-based indie label 4AD has announced it will release Atlas Sound’s debut full-length, Let The Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel, outside North America, and with a whole new disc of bonus material slapped on for good measure.

While the rest of the world will now get a chance to avoid paying import prices on May 5, the Deerhunter offshoot fronted by Bradford Cox released the album via Kranky in Canada and the U.S. back in mid-February.

No word yet on what the additional disc will include, but Cox is by no means short on material. Amongst various poop posting (sorry Deerhunter you will never live this down) and online mix-tapes, Deerhunter’s blog has so far posted 81 Atlas Sound tracks not included on Let The Blind… Or at least this is the number our intern came up with.

4AD has also announced that a European Atlas Sound tour will coincide with the spring release, with dates to be announced shortly. If you have yet to bless your ears with Let The Blind…, here is how Cox describes it in a nutshell: "The dream of one summer, this last summer I had. It’s almost as if I had one continuous dream and the product of archiving it is the album you have here.”
