Montreal's progressive death metal masters Augury are set to hit the road this fall following the August release of their latest effort Fragmentary Evidence. For the trek, the band will be touring with blackened-death outfit God Dethroned in October, and with thrash veterans Vader in November.
The Exclaim!-approved Fragmentary Evidence, released by Goodfellow in Canada and by Nuclear Blast internationally, is Augury's first new album in five years and the follow-up to their 2004 debut Concealed. The album was produced by the band themselves, as well as Hugues Deslauriers (Clearwater Deathblow) and Yannick St Amand (Despised Icon). It also features a whole pile of guest vocalists, including Sven de Caluwe (Aborted, System Divide), Syriak and Leilindel (Unexpect), Youri Raymond (Cryptopsy, Unhuman), Sebastien Croteau (Necrotic Mutation), Filip Ivanovic (Angony) and Eric Fiset (Obscene Crisis, Nervous Impulse).
For this upcoming batch of live dates, Augury also has a little something special planned. As the band explain on their website: "Due to the amount of questions and requests, Augury members will make themselves available for musical clinics and private lessons during the upcoming tours. Suffice to reserve your spot in advance and a schedule will be established to accomodate anyone willing to learn a few of our secrets..."
The band go on to say that fans should stayed tuned on how and when they can learn Augury's dark secrets.
