August Alsina Unveils Street Date, Cover Art to 'This Thing Called Life'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 5, 2015

Earlier this fall, New Orleans R&B singer August Alsina teased his forthcoming This Thing Called Life LP with the devastating "Song Cry," and now he's revealed when we can hear the rest of his sophomore set. He's confirmed that the album drops December 11 via Def Jam.

While the album title has been floating for a while now, both the street date and album art were revealed over social media by Alsina. That's the pensive, bridge-strollin' cover image up above.

So far, Alsina hasn't unveiled the tracklisting to his forthcoming long-player, but recently delivered songs from the artists include "Song Cry" and his "Why I Do It" team-up with fellow NOLA native Lil Wayne.

While we wait for more details, you can catch a newly loosened album trailer for the LP down below, which finds the singer tossing and turning in bed as he contemplates, you know, This Thing Called Life. There, you'll also find a different snippet of music he previewed through his Instagram account.

This Thing Called Life is Alsina's second major label effort, and follows last year's Testimony.
