Autopsy Unveil 'All Tomorrow's Funerals' Collection

Earlier this year, death metal vets Autopsy issued their Macabre Eternal LP, which we called a "return to form," and the band will now follow that up with a collection gathering tunes new and old, titled All Tomorrow's Funerals.

While culling material from all of their EPs, from 1990's Retribution for the Dead up to 2010's comeback record, The Tomb Within, a press release confirms that the band have also wrapped up recording sessions for a few new tunes to be included on the set.

"Well, we've finished recording a few new tracks for the upcoming collection album All Tomorrow's Funerals, and they came out brutal and heavy as hell," the band said in a statement.

While Autopsy didn't deliver the deets on the new tracks, it was revealed that All Tomorrow's Funerals will include a reworked version of "Mauled to Death," which originally popped up on their 1987 demo.

"It's something we've wanted to do for quite a while, getting all the loose chunks together in one place rather than having them split up and added on as bonus tracks here and there," the band added.

A proper tracklist has yet to be unveiled, but the 22-song collection is set to drop on February 28 via Peaceville Records.

In other news, Autopsy also revealed that they're working on a new album, which is projected for a late 2012/early 2013 release date. While the band have added a few new touches to their sound following their 15-year layover, the gore-grinders assure us that the next set will feature the good old, loveably brutal blasts their fans have come to love.

"There will be no compromise and no holding back. If you want 100 percent pure death metal brutality, you will certainly get it."
